Marilyn Collins Memorial Award
The Marilyn Collins Memorial Award supports aspiring musicians who demonstrate enthusiasm for the unique ‘big band’ style of music, with a desire to entertain audiences through performance. Marilyn established the U‑Bouddi Big Band in 2006, and led it on saxophone until 2023. She also contributed significantly to community band management and leadership in Sydney and the Central Coast. The award is supported by proceeds from performances of the U‑Bouddi Big Band.

Keith Blanket Memorial Award
Following a life growing up and working in Sydney, and a more recent part-time life in Wagstaffe, Keith Blanket joined the Bouddi Foundation for the Arts Committee after becoming a permanent Bouddi Peninsular resident in late 2017.
With over 50 years’ experience in the Advertising, Marketing and Communications industry, in both global agencies and his own firms, Keith worked with the Committee to help promote the Foundation’s brand and activities as well as broaden its awareness within the local community and Central Coast generally.
For the past 20 plus years, Keith has steered his own agency, Bullet Marketing Solutions, which is largely responsible for major Marketing Communications between Toyota Australia Head Office and its national Dealer Network.
Keith passed away in May 2023 and is missed by all and remembered fondly by all of us who worked with him in the Bouddi community.

John and Anna Bell Award for Excellence and Encouragement Awards
For over twenty years John and Anna Bell have retreated from their hectic theatrical life in Sydney and elsewhere in the world to the beauty and calm of the Central Coast. There, having been the instigators behind the creation of the Bouddi Foundation for the Arts, they have continued to provide their support during its successful development. They have a commitment to recognizing and encouraging young artists struggling to develop their talents outside the facilities and support structures of the metropolitan centres. John is the inaugural and current Chairman of the Bouddi Foundation for the Arts.

For many years Narelle Jones was at the centre of musical life on the Bouddi Peninsula. Herself a gifted musician, she was also the mother of a talented musical family, organizer and producer of many community concerts and events, and a teacher and mentor to countless children from the area. It is fitting that the award in her memory is made possible by the many donations that came from members of her grateful community.
For many years Narelle Jones was at the centre of musical life on the Bouddi Peninsula. Lee and Chris Casey Award
Lee Casey and his wife Chris were prominent contributors to the cultural life of the Bouddi Peninsula. Lee, a prominent former journalist and media entrepreneur, was energetic in the area’s cultural life, supporting and promoting musicians and editing and producing the most significant historical, environmental and cultural book of life on the Peninsula. His passion for music was shared by Chris who has continued to generously support the Bouddi Foundation for the Arts.

Helen Ferguson was an indefatigable worker in many organisations in the Killcare to Wagstaffe area. An expert and passionate bridge player she established the Bridge Group at Wagstaffre that still meets today. An energetic committee member of the Wagstaffe to Killcare Community Association she was a longstanding publisher of that organisation’s journal, the Talking Turkey as well as the manager of Wagstaffe Hall.

Graeme Anderson has a philosophy behind his strategic philanthropy that grew from a mentoring that he received as a young man. His aim is to equip the young and disadvantaged where they display the ability but not the tools to master their opportunities. He generously demonstrated his faith in the Foundation early on and helped establish it as a viable charity.

The Coles Danziger Foundation, established by the late Ken Coles AM and his wife Rowena Danziger AM, makes targeted donations to cultural, artistic and charitable organisations. The Bouddi Foundation for the Arts has been fortunate to receive their support for a number of years.
